A journey of discovery of 22 testimonies of rural life that celebrate the land and landscape of Blello, Taleggio, Val Brembilla and Vedeseta.
The title of the exhibition plays on the dichotomy between knowing and grateful.
Rooted in the land of Strachítunt, the project aims to pay tribute to those people who helped write the history of the Valley: "Re-acquaintances." Indeed, it reinterprets the work done in 2004 by the Imagna Valley Study Center., who published the volume "Bergamini: twenty-one tales of peasant life from the Taleggio Valley." to tell the story of the bergamì, the mountain dwellers who found sustenance through small-scale farming, tailored to their family needs.
L'expospermanent will be set up at the Sant'Antonio Cooperative in Vedeseta with exhibition panels, photographs and excerpts from the original interviews of Valley farmers, while the touring exhibition will touch 22 different locations in the territory, in which there will be exhibition panels with QR codes that will allow people to learn more about the testimony of rural life related to that specific area.
Inauguration Thursday, July 18, 2024 5:30 pm at Coop. Sant’ Antonio in Vedeseta.
