Hi, my name is Massimiliano Gelmini, but those who know me call me Max.
I have been always attracted by the mountains, I began to frequent them with a sense of adventure when at 18 I started running in the mountains among the ranks of Atletica San Giovanni Bianco, a club in a town of the same name in Valle Brembana, which is also where I was born.
The environment I saw during the races pushed me to deepen my knowledge of it and so I began to explore "my" Orobie both in the company of friends and alone.
It's fantastic to understand the different places in the area when up until now you've only heard of them or seen them in photographs or on topographical maps, but when you really immerse yourself in them for the first time, they give you a sense of mountain magic.
Gradually this "thirst for knowledge" led me to explore both the western and eastern Orobic arcs and then to pay attention to other mountain areas as I don't like to repeat myself too many times on the same routes, although every day in the environment reveals new aspects and views.
Recently I wanted to transform my passions for the mountains into a professional activity that allows me to frequent the environment for which I am passionate and, in the meantime, transmit my knowledge and emotions to those who want to accompany me for their excursions, trekking, travel and experiences in general.
I'm waiting for you to go together on a discovery to the mountains, especially the lesser-known ones but which always reserve reasons for amazement and emotion.
