An old legend tells that even Leonardo da Vinci, who thoroughly studied water and its beneficial properties, during the XVI century visited the San Pellegrino spring and traced a map of the surroundings.\nThe mineral water who springs in San Pellegrino was analysed for the first time in 1748: the results show that its composition has not changed through the years. In 1760 Pellegrino Foppoli arranged some benches around the spring to let people taste and enjoy the water.
