Once called “Tassoni” indicating its close ties to the Tasso family who lived in Cornello dei Tasso, one of the prettiest in all Italy, and spent their summers here. Here you can visit the church of St Mark dedicated to the Virgin and Child, next to a former castle, now a private home.
