The wonderful Mezzeno basin is definitely worth a visit. Here you will find an exceptional 'formai de Mut' cheese, prepared in the dairies of the alpine farmers who spend the summer with their animals in this authentic oasis of paradise. If you like walking as well as cheese, you will have the opportunity to go on beautiful hikes through the larch and fir woods that lead from Capovalle to Mezzeno. The wood thins out here and from this hollow you can admire Monte Menna (North Face), Monte Vetro and Corno del Branchino. From the Baite there is a flower path (see information sheet) and an excursion leading to the Laghi Gemelli.
