From Selvino To Perello

Palazzetto Dello Sport
Selvino - Algua

Description

This mule track is undoubtedly one of the best-loved trails among locals in Selvino, and it once welcomed countless pilgrims climbing to the Santuario del Perello for its annual festival. Starting near the new Sports Hall, this trail is an easy, level walk that’s ideal for families looking for a short, scenic outing.

The path offers not only stunning views but also a chance to pause and rest along the way. In the summer months, hikers can refresh themselves at the inn by the sanctuary, while two equipped rest areas provide peaceful spots to take in the surroundings. The first rest area is near the Cantor spring, and a second lies further along the trail. Before reaching the springs, if you look toward the mountainside, you’ll spot the remains of an old "cusiner," an ancient kiln once used for lime production. The trail itself begins along the road to Salmezza and crosses over the head of the Cantor Valley, offering a quiet immersion in nature and history.

Whether you’re a pilgrim or simply in search of a peaceful stroll, this track invites you to step back in time and experience Selvino’s natural beauty as so many have before.
