Sussia, a small mountain village at an altitude of 1,000 metres, can be reached in about an hour along a dirt road that follows the route of the former mule track, starting from Vetta. Nestled among green pastures and thick woods on an undulating plateau, the small village, rich in history, enjoys an enviable position.
Once at the Vetta, continue along the agro-silvo-pastoral road to Sussia. On the way you will come across the Tribulina Madrera, dedicated to the Madonna delle Grazie.
The road enters the woods until you come to a fork in the road, where the Tribulina Pappina was once situated. Turn right and you will reach Sussia Bassa, with the hamlets of Garbiöla, Brèn and Ca' Sott, where there are a number of renovated farmhouses, suitable for spending the weekend surrounded by greenery and silence.
When we reach 'Pòssa' and 'Forcellina', we can enjoy a beautiful view from the watershed: to the north the Valle dei Ronchi descends and joins the Valle Garbiöla and below, to the south, we can see the Foppa di Sussia farmstead with cultivated fields all around it. Finally, a last stretch leads to the little church of San Michele.
