Upon arriving in the locality of Paglio you meet abandoned houses and buildings which belonged to one of the most important mining operations in the Brembana Valley. This ‘ghost town’ came to be after the closure of the mines in the 1980s. They have been preserved and lit and once you enter you can observe the original trolleys, tools and other mining machinery. It’s a perfect location for cultural events due to its own unique atmosphere. The old mine is part of a cultural axis which includes the Mercatorum and Priula – migrant routes, artists, the Tasso family and the Harlequin.
