S. Pietro E Paolo Parish Church In Roncobello

Via Ronchetto
Roncobello

Description

At the entrance to the village you can see this church built in the second half of the 18th century on top of a pre-existing one. Both the church and the bell tower are built with local stone. Elements from the previous church are visible in the small side portico. The interior is very richly decorated by Luigi Morgari at the beginning of the 20th century; the main altar in carved and gilded wood by the artist G. B. Agosti attracts attention, as do the two recently restored wooden statues of St. Peter and St. Paul dating back to the 15th and 16th centuries. Among the valuable paintings are the Madonna with Saints by Zeno Donisi, the Madonna with Child by Carlo Ceresa and the Madonna of the Rosary by Domenico Carpinoni.
