Looming over Zogno, Monte Castello offer breathtaking views of the three surrounding valleys : the small Val Arsa to the South, Valle Brembana to the West and Valle Serina to the North and East. It is an easy but rewarding hike.
There are many paths to reach this summit. A 3 km circular trail is marked and can be followed with ease. These heights are dotted with corners of history which despite their simplicity evoke great mysticism. Numerous Roccoli can be found in this territory, some of which are still visitable in their perfect architecture. A roccolo is a bird catching system developed in the 15th century by the people of Bergamo. Once used for hunting birds, the ones which are still functional are now used for scientific research.
