From the car park in Via Piazzo you coast along the cycle path next to the river Brembo towards Ambria until you reach Zogno. Here take the tree-lined street to Piazza Italy where you start the long climb that leads to San Antonio Abbandonato. Continue on the right towards Catremerio, a hamlet which has remained intact over many years until reaching Santella di Grosnello. From here the trail begins and takes you down through beech woods and meadows to Sussia. First descend on a technical trail through Madrera Santella and then continue on a flat-surfaced path which cuts along the side of the mountain to the Borlezza valley. Eventually you come to Aplecchio and down a long flight of steps in a meadow to the village of Paradiso. After the old funicular railway bridge you take the mule track to San Pellegrino Terme, it ends with a series of steps which meet the walls of the casino. Cross the bridge and ride behind the Grand Hotel to the car park brings this beautiful excursion to a close.
