Thanks to the will and funding of Filippo Alcaini three different series of murales were painted on the streets of Dossena between 1981 and 1984. The art is of both a religious and secular nature with popular scenes as well as abstract compositions , which grace many facades of houses of Dossena. The murales of Dossena are part of a cultural axis which includes the Mercatorum and Priula – migrant routes, artists, the Tasso family and of the Harlequin.
